Tom Bulgrin has a B.M. degree from the University of Wyoming, with a major on flute and a minor on saxophone. After graduate study (bassoon and woodwinds) at Washington State University, he obtained an M.A. degree (Bassoon Performance) from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College, City University of New York, and did doctoral work at the University of Arizona.
